Surfacing of cylindrical concrete specimens
Characteristics
The sulfur composition is specified in appendix A of standard NF EN 12390-3.
It can be used in the composition of a sulfur sand mixture.
- (50 ± 1)% sulfur from this data sheet,
- (50 ± 1)% siliceous sand with a particle size between 0.125 and 0.25 mm.
As a reminder: The surfacing product is packaged in a polyethylene bag each containing 10 kg.

AREAS OF APPLICATION
This sulfur, known as “FLEUR DE SULFRE”, is intended for surfacing cylindrical cement concrete specimens, whose compressive strengths are less than 60 MPA. The compression test can be carried out after half an hour of hardening.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Avoid sulfur vapor fumes which can ignite, and capture them with a powerful extractor hood.
