Conical Bending mandrel is a lab testing apparatus which is used to bend the coated metal substrates over a mandrel of a cone shape to measure the elasticity of paints and varnishes or resistance to cracking. The instrument is designed as per the standards ASTM D522 and ISO 6860. The conical shape allows deforming the test panel to assess the quality of the coated material.
