Characteristics
Sand 20-30 is composed of local siliceous sands (99% silica content) natural with a water content of less than 0.1%. The constituent grains of these sands are uncrushed and have a rounded shape. The sand is packaged in a 16 kg bucket.
Deliveries are made on pallets of 36 to 48 buckets with a gross mass of 590 kg to 780 kg, protected by reinforced cardboard.
This sand is used for testing cements.
Controls
The granularity of sand 20-30 is fixed by standard ASTM C 778. The average production control is:
